A little context

What is the Schumann resonance?

Lightning produces electromagnetic waves. Some travel around Earth in the space between the ground and the ionosphere, creating resonances at extremely low frequencies. The lowest mode is around 7.8 Hz. NASA’s visual explanation introduces how this happens.

Frequency and strength are different

The frequency describes how quickly a wave oscillates. A chart of signal strength describes a different property. A larger value on an amplitude chart does not mean that Earth’s fundamental frequency has jumped to that number.

Reading it in the app

Schumann Pulse shows the available observations with their measurement time and source. Readings can have gaps or arrive late. A missing observation is not a zero reading.

A place for your own experience

You can keep your feelings and daily notes beside environmental observations. The app does not infer how you feel from a reading or treat a comparison as proof of a cause.
